We’re diving into something we don’t often talk about on this journey: the fear of weight loss.

Because we all know that weight gain fear like the back of our hands.

What if people notice my weight gain?

I’ll just die if someone comments on how much weight I’ve gained.

What if these people (who I haven’t seen in a while) think I look awful?

We all have those fears running through our minds.

But could you also be afraid of losing weight? (See part one on that topic here)

A few years into my own journey, I realized I WAS afraid of losing weight and keeping it off.

Not only did weight loss always send me back into the feeling of needing to control & restrict (“Yikes, I lost weight, now what do I do?!“), but I also was terrified of who I was without my issues.

If I didn’t worry about food, my body and my weight all the time, what would I talk about, think about and do with my time?

(To see those other big subconscious weight loss fears, see part one).

Today’s post is all about what to actually do when this fear comes up for you.
