What happens when you stop dieting, let go of controlling every morsel you put into your mouth, and begin to eat more “normally“? In today’s video, I’m diving into the unexpected side effects of not dieting.
This is something not many people talk about. And it’s something I wish someone had told me when I first started.
Because the more you know about what to expect on this path, the easier it is to keep going when it gets challenging.
These unexpected side effects of dieting STILL happen to me often. As I’ve gotten more used to it, it gets easier to manage, but sometimes I do think “man, wouldn’t this all be so much easier if food was my escape?” (Which, I only entertain that thought for a brief moment, then realize I wouldn’t trade where I am for anything!)
As with anything new in our lives, we often wonder if what we’re experiencing is “normal”. When you are working to feel free around food, it can help to have someone who has walked the journey before you (to help inspire you to stay on the path!) Which is why I thought this topic was so important 🙂
